Christmas All Year Round

What seems to be everyone’s favorite Holiday?

Easter?
Thankgiving?
Labor Day or Memorial Day?
4th of July (Yes for me!)

Most of the time people will tell you that their favorite holiday is Christmas.

I would be lying if I said it wasn’t my favorite as well….I mean how can it not be?!

There is something about it, when you’re young and feeling that Christmas Magic all of December. Increasingly feeling more and more special as it gets closer to December 24th. If it would snow that would add to the magic that’s Santa Claus and his reindeer hopefully coming to drop off gifts at your house that evening.

Setting out milk and cookies to give him a little treat and expressing a small token of your appreciation for all that he did throughout the year up at the North Pole with Mrs. Claus and his Elves!

And hopefully receiving a gift that you asked for!

Now that I’m grown up I still love the magic that Christmas brings. There’s just something about it.

Everyone seems to be in a happier grateful giving mood during the holiday season. More people waving hello at the grocery stores, giving the right of way when it comes to a 4 way stop on the roads, and just more joy overall.

So why does it stop?

I think it all comes back to our childhoods.

I don’t know about you but my parents always made it a point to remind my brother and I that if we do something that’s not good we may end up on the dreaded….wait for it…..naughty list!

Okay I said it. It’s plastered everywhere for kids, if you’re on the naughty list you’re likely to not get much Christmas magic in your life, maybe a bag of coal, or whatever else is associated with it. I believe that because a lot of us were told that if we don’t do good (especially around the holidays) that we may end up on the naughty list! As you grow up you realize that’ not necessarily the case but with it being talked about so much as kids, it’s almost ingrained in us!

That if we aren’t good during the holiday season we won’t be taken care of in some way. We always end up banding together for the betterment of our families, friends, and communities.

If you have been the The Specific Chiropractic Centers or know me at all then you are aware that I’m a pretty positive person. I’m not one of those people that is oblivious to everything that’s going on but I do look at life in a glass half full kind of way.

That’s why I want to make Christmas happen all year!

How the hell am I going to do that?!

No I will not be playing Christmas music at the office 24/7, wishing people a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, or buying gifts for my family and friends.

No No No

I’m planning on resurrecting something that we did a year ago….but put it on steroids!

A year ago we were going from coffee shops, ice cream stands, to restaurants opening up tabs for people to use. This was during the beginning of the pandemic. The goal was to allow people to get a good meal if for whatever reason they weren’t able to due to work issues, or whatever else. The other reason was to help out the restaurants in the area that were hurting due to the fact that they were being forced to shut down.

Now restaurants are back open and people are going in or taking out like they have been which is great!

But I believe something else is happening that is hurting our community and country.

DIVISION

I would never want something like 9/11/01 to happen again but something I would like to happen again is 9/12/01. It was a time when the entire country came together to show support. When everyone was nice to one another….like the times before Christmas.

Are opening restaurant tabs going to make an impact like that?

Probably not.

I don’t know about you but I find a ton of joy in sitting down and enjoying food and drinks! I have had some really impactful conversations with people over a simple meal. I want to be able to provide that to people in the Lake Country and Greater Milwaukee area!

Which is why we are going to be bringing back our tabs for people to take advantage of! Our goal is to spark happiness and positivity in a world that seems to be lacking that quite a bit lately. If you have a favorite spot that you’d like to be highlighted then shoot us a message on facebook. All of the information on where and when tabs will be opened will be on our facebook page as well as the Feel Good Lake Country facebook group! We’ll be announcing all of the details a week in advance to when the tab goes live so everyone will be able to take advantage of it at the same time.

I’m planning on partnering up with other people I do business with to help make the tabs bigger and last longer as some of them got used up really quick last year. I’m excited to be bringing happiness and positivity to the community by providing these for everyone.

Just like that feeling Christmas morning, of waking up and feeling the excitement of Santa coming and leaving gifts under the tree. Heading to a family member’s house and feeling happy to see everyone and thankful that everyone is still alive and well. We are hoping to achieve a little slice of that by providing people and businesses with these open tabs so you can enjoy a drink, snack, or meal on us and hopefully feel that positivity and happiness that seems to be missing in the world today.
