Gluten Free Options That Actually Taste Good
Gluten is a substance that is found in various grains and is something that a lot of people have become intolerable to. People will experience extreme digestive issues and pain when they eat things with gluten if they are sensitive to the substance or unable to digest it. One of the things that a lot of people don’t realize is that gluten can affect your mood.
A lot of the people we see at The Specific Chiropractic Centers – Lake Country don’t worry about their diet too much. There are some people we see that are very strict though. What’s interesting is that these people didn’t have any physical symptoms from gluten. They heard there might be some benefits to becoming gluten free so they decided to give it a try.
Some of the changes they noted are:
- Improved Cholesterol Levels
- Better Digestion
- Weight Loss
- Better Emotion/Self-Awareness
- Decrease in Anxiety and Stress
- Decrease in ADHD Symptoms
- Decrease in Headaches
Okay, those are all great changes to see but one of the biggest issues is cooking or preparing food. Going gluten-free is a big commitment. Plus people usually have to give up come of their favorite foods. There are a lot of restaurants out there that will accommodate to gluten-free people now which is great.
One place that is focused on gluten-free cooking and baking is Molly’s Gluten Free Bakery right in Pewaukee attached to the Lyndale Farm shopping center. They started because the former owner’s granddaughter had Celiac Disease and he wanted a way to provide delicious food and snacks for her and others going through the same issue. Mary Burgdorff purchased the bakery as in inspiration for her son who was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 1997.
